In July 2009, I spent 2 days aboard CVN-73 USS George Washington during the exercise Talisman Saber 09 in the Pacific Ocean. The USS George Washington was participating in Talisman Saber 09 off the Coast of Australia, a biennial, combined exercise designed to train Australian and U.S. forces in planning and conducting combined operations.

I would like to thank the US Navy and its 7th Fleet PAO team as well as the PAO Team in Australia and aboard USS George Washington for all the hard work they did in getting me out to the carrier and the great time aboard the ship..
